Founded in 2003 by Mimi Fong, Luminosus Designs is a full-service interior design studio serving Westchester County, Fairfield County, New York City, and the greater New York area. The studio works with homeowners who value thoughtful design, clear guidance, and a deeply personal approach to creating their home.
Boutique by design, Luminosus allows Mimi to remain closely involved in every project. Clients work directly with her from early planning through final installation, creating continuity, trust, and a calm, steady process from beginning to end.
Mimi Fong
Mimi Fong brings more than two decades of experience to projects that range from single-room renovations to full-home interiors, new construction collaboration, and comprehensive furnishing projects. Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of how people live, how homes function, and how design decisions carry from concept through completion.
An NCIDQ-certified designer and a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Kitchen & Bath Association, Mimi combines creative vision with practical judgment. Her approach is both intuitive and disciplined—balancing beauty, proportion, materiality, and technical coordination so each home feels cohesive, personal, and effortless to live in.
A CONSIDERED APPROACH
Great design begins with how a home is lived in. The way our clients move through their rooms, gather with family, entertain guests, work, rest, and experience the light throughout the day all inform the decisions that follow—from layout and circulation to furnishings, finishes, texture, and detail.
The goal is never to impose a signature look. Luminosus creates interiors that feel natural to the home and deeply personal to the people who live there: composed without feeling staged, refined without feeling overdone.
For renovation and new construction projects, design also requires clear planning and careful coordination. Mimi works closely with architects, builders, contractors, artisans, and trade partners as needed, so creative vision and practical execution remain part of the same considered whole.
