WHAT OUR CLIENT WANTED - They want a minimalist look for their house that reflects their experience living in Japan where all things are pared back.
While most of this home reflects Mimi’s signature look—clean, serene, and effortlessly stylish—the homeowner requested a departure from that for a special “girly” space where she could curl up and read with her daughter. Mimi transformed the second floor landing into an inviting and ultra-feminine, fabric-draped nest that even the family cat can’t resist. Unique accents can be found throughout the home: a custom art installation over the fireplace by Bueno Glass, an actual Cessna propeller blade mounted into a granite block, and a unique coffee table with an off center “negative space” that neatly echoes the table’s circular shape.
